beauty & man

Thesedays, men are trying to look beautiful. Muscular or rough style seem to be out of style. Colorful clothes are now in style for men. Men also get their ears peirced and put earrings. There are make-ups not only for females but also for males.White skin is in, and dark skin is out. Their hair styles get various, too. There are ponytail, permed, half-bald, dying and so on. Toomuch short hair, hich used to be called neat, is now out of trend.

This is my think of today's men. What do you think of them?

I think I like the sports style the best. I like those long Manchester United winter coats and sweat pants and stuff like that. A shaved head or a crew cut looks cool and sporty too. Navy blue, black, white or grey are cool colors--maybe a little red. I also like athletic shoes--Nike Air, Adidas, you know what I mean? 8)

These days it seems like a lot of young Korean guys are going for the Beatles haircuts of the 60s. I think they match most of them well. I like the longer mop cuts better than the cropped "ajosshi cuts" that were so common a decade ago.

Since I can't grow a lot of hair in front, I like really short hair for myself--almost bald. I think it looks clean and neat. A goatee (or fu-man) also gives the appearance of a stronger chin.

For girls, I almost always like long striaght hair; however, a few of the new shorter styles are cool too.

How do you look? What styles do you like? Tell us here...

When I was 16 years old.I interested in fashion.

So I search many cloths and bought it.also I change standpoint of fashion.

In past a lots of man didn't like pink, yellow cloths, earing and long hair.

but along change generation and change man standpoint.

I think that talent lead fashion. For some reason or other people want

Famous talent style.

However old people hate young people style.I don't know why they hate

that. but they understand our fashion.

um.. this is my opinion.

What made you lose interest in fashion this year? (You're 17 now as I recall.)
How did pink become so popular with men? Do you think the trend will last?
Why do you think old people hate younger peoples' styles? have you had any bad experiences?
Which famous people are young guys copying these days? Why are they considered so cool?

I'm not really into fashion these days either. I try to match my shirts and ties and stuff, but I don't spend too much time looking in the mirror. After all, I have a shaved head. There's not much to do.

I agree with Jason.
These days, young Korean guys follow the Beatles haircuts.
Actually we call it, “Bagaji hairstyle.”

I think it’s really cute and very fashionable thing, but only for the actor or singer.
If my younger brother did the Beatles haircuts I would say,
“Excuse me? What do you think? You want to go on TV?
Please, cut to neat hair.”

My favorite hairstyle is neat hair for man.
However, I like the Beatles hair cuts for women.
One day, I will have this style.

I think young people have the Beatles hair styles are cute.
‘Bagaji’ hair style is pretty cute!! And I like shaved hair, too.
It looks clean and strong , but sometimes makes me scare…
(cause some gangster has it. 8) )

On the other hand, young guys have same fashions n hairstyles, don’t they??
On the streets, everyone is pretty and gorgeous but they look similar.

It's a pity that the people are same..

It looks like Gemma and Monica have different tastes when it comes to men's hairstyles. I think Monica likes clean-cut guys and Gemma likes the Beatles bagaji style and sometimes guys with shaved head too. Thanks for teaching me that word by the way--bagaji. Does it have a certain meaning?

It's true what you guys say--a lot of people end up looking similar on the streets when everybody follows the same trends at the same time. Right now my head is shaved. I feel like I'm going against the current style in Korea--not to be rebellious though--just because I like it short. It feels clean and neat.

Have you ever done anything that goes against the current style or trend? What did you do?

I like short hair and simple style of clothes.
I usually follow my wife's advice on fashion like clothes and furniture in
my house but we had an argument on hair style.
I like short hair style like sports style but my wife likes Beatles's hair style.
In fall & winte season I have a little bit long hair but I have a little short hair in summer. short hair makes me feel cool and comfortable.
Actually I've never had my hair dyed or highlighted but some people
said to me did you dye your hair since I have much grey hair on right side
of my head.
Nowadays young people are tend to copy famous idole star's fashion.
I fully understand but It doesn't seem to have personality.
Anyway, I'd like to have short hair cut

I follow my wife's advice a lot too because I really don't know too much about fashion anymore. She does the interior of our house and she does the "exterior of me" too--especially when it comes to dressier clothes like suits and ties. I often check with her before matching something new together.

Like you and your wife, we also disagree about hairstyles. I like my shaved head, but she wants me to grow my hair out. You should have heard her chew me out when i got my sons' heads shaved in February. Wow, was she mad...

By the way, have you ever considered just shaving your head? What would the guys at work say about that? It would nice for you on the fottball pitch, eh?

Actually their hair has grown out a bit by now. They have about 2-3cm of hair now. On the positive side, I think of all the time I'm saving for my wife. (I think she needs a break.) She saves time drying their hair, styling it, and so on. Actually, she hasn't complained since the first initial shock was over. By the way, do you think shaved heads could ever come into style in Korea?
