Some futurologists predict that intelligent buildings or smart buildings will be genenalized to everyone before long. These buildings could control the housing system by themselves with artificial intelligence. Of course, you can choose the control system with autimatic system or hand-operated system according to your preference. I think these will be more helpful for our lives than our imaginations.
First, they will adjust to the changes of natural condition. They could adjust their air-conditioning(or heating), eletric power and illumination to the best.
Second, you don't have to worry about the security system of them because they will have automatic alarm facility in order to defend themselves. Therefore, you don't need to pay extra money to the private enterprise to defend your house and your fortune.
Furthermore, they could detect owner's feelings and physical conditions and control the housing systems for their owners.

I was very excited when I wrote something about our future lives. However, I don't even like to imagine this future technology because I couldn't feel any humanities about these future lives. There aren't any warmth and love, there only exist high technology. Although I don't like the future technology, I don't want to deny everything about that. Because some people really need it because of their physical problem and many people will be happy with it and it's only the problem of the personal preference. I hope many people living these buildings in future will keep their human nature, warmth and love . ^^

Jane, I heard that some of the buildings used in the Beijing Olympics were of the sort you metnion. What was the name of the building the swimming events were held in? I heard that it was an intelligent building of sorts--that it used rainwater and such, purified it to a degree, and ran it through its plumbing. It looked and sounded pretty amazing.
